The Ashes come to Hale Barns

This Friday, 3rd July, the club are hosting a visiting Australian touring team, no not Mr Ponting et al but Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School from Melbourne.  They are touring the country this Ashes summer and we fortunate to be playing them in a U16/17 40 over per side game starting at 2pm followed by an Aussie themed BBQ in the evening. The Bar will be open all afternoon so come on down watch the game and have a beer or two.  For those who came to last season's game against Ivanhoe GS you'll know that the cricket promises to be of the highest standard.

The HBCC team has been selected, see junior pages for details.

Massive thanks to all the club members who are helping out on the day.  Let's hope the weather plays ball!

Help Your Skippers, Help Your Club

Please help the club's skippers by letting them know if you're available for selection as soon as possible.  This is important as more players become available now exam season is coming to an end.  There's going to be greater competition for places for the next few weeks so don't be flaky!  Please note that players who have not paid their 2009 subscriptions will not be selected to play until their overdue subs have been paid.

Important Junior News

The junior coaches are desperate for help in running some U11s matches, please see the junior pages for details.
