First XI vs Trafford MV

A very depleted Hale Barns team made a short trip to Trafford with little to play for.

The new ball pairing of Andy Murphy and Dave Saddington opened up without any luck. Trafford (through Gallagher –who made 57 - and Lucas) raced to 81 without loss in the 18^th over before Robinson (6-68) removed both in quick succession.

Saddington (3-76)and Robinson bowled 31 overs as the bowling cupboard was bare. Trafford were bowled out for 196 thanks to 52 from Warner.

In reply Iqbal (33) and Jaiswal (37) looked like they could win the game at 76/1 in the 18^th. However, both were out in consecutive balls and the Barns capitulated.

Only 20 not out from Saddington and a long 26 ball 0 not out from Andy Murphy secured the draw for the Barns (142/9)
